Tennis in Mallorca 2024

Most adult players don’t have the time junior players do to drill down & integrate that part of our game that makes us mental on court. Often, that standing tennis time at home gets sidetracked by other adult responsibilities. And before you know it, its been weeks since you’ve played tennis.

That’s the right time to book a tennis holiday in Mallorca. Get yourself to a place you can relax & find professional tennis classes mixed with a whole new place away from the same ole’ routine back at home. The more relaxed, the easier those tennis tips go down nicely and stick.

Clarity on the Clay

A single tennis holiday should feel unique. You’re on holiday after all. The first unique experience you might find is the court surface. This is the surface most played by professional players after hard courts.

Clay courts aren’t only beautiful, they’re slow. Think of it like this. You’re out on court, in a match, and your opponents incredible consistency puts yours to the test. The longer rally’s are oddly energizing & enthralling . You’ll learn a lot about your physical endurance and what your game needs next. And it’s usually, more consistency.

Before consistency you’ll need coaching clarity on where you’re stuck. Then time, simple verbal cues and a mountain of tennis balls set your corrections and new game on track. That’s what the clay excels at.

We like to develop adults on clay courts for the pace & height of the ball’s bounce. At first, you’ll likely rush as though you’re still on a hard court with that fast, true bounce. But on the clay, you never know what’s going to happen with the bounce. But you’ll have double the time to hit the ball. You can use the clay to maneuver and slide into a brake. In essence the clay slows you down and demands you play another ball. It’s the reason Spanish players are so consistent.

Many times players return home ecstatic how other members at their home club see your improvement. Certainly they notice you’re more confident & consistent. They’re not surprised you’ve just picked off a win at this weeks club tournament.

Come to the clay with a real focus on 1 or 2 things you want to improve. Otherwise, overload sets in.

This adult tennis holiday is meant to give you the time to learn, absorb & feel that kinetic connection that feels right to your body and keeps you injury free. Because when your foundations are set, you have more fun & freedom to take on new things like; spins, slices, drops, serves, VARIETY to your game.

Maybe then you’ll try your hand at playing league tennis - which is yet another opportunity to play more tennis. While at the same time, play more matches & expand your playing circle and friendships.
