About Indie TENIS

Rhonda Costa Tennis Director

Hola, I’m Rhonda Costa.

You might know me from the adult tennis camps I run in Spain through Costa del Tennis.

I’ve been coaching adults for nearly two decades, and Mallorca has been my home base for most of that time. Over the years, I’ve worked with players of all ages and levels — from adults picking up a racket for the first time to competitive juniors navigating serious pathways.

What I’ve learned is simple:
most people don’t need more hype — they need clear guidance and the right environment.

That’s why Indie Tenis exists.

Why Indie Tenis

Tennis can be confusing, especially if you’re starting later in life or trying to make sense of junior development options.

Indie Tenis is a place to slow things down.

Here, adults can learn the game properly, without pressure or gimmicks. Parents can understand the junior tennis landscape without feeling rushed into expensive decisions. Everything is built around fit — not prestige, not volume, and not promises.

Sometimes the right step is a free online course.
Sometimes it’s small-group training.
Sometimes it’s a serious academy.
And sometimes it’s waiting.

Working With Adults

My primary work is coaching club-level adult players.

I keep groups small, focus on foundations, and coach in a way that respects how adults actually learn. The goal isn’t to impress — it’s to help players move better, understand the game, and enjoy tennis for the long term.

Adults who train with us often come back year after year, not because of sales tactics, but because they feel comfortable, supported, and challenged in the right way.

Supporting Junior Pathways

While adult coaching is my main focus, I also work with families navigating junior tennis options in Spain and the United States.

The academies represented on Indie Tenis are places I’ve spent real time in. I don’t list every option — only environments I trust and understand. When appropriate, I make direct introductions so conversations start clearly and honestly.

Staying in Touch

If you’re new to tennis, I recommend starting with the free How to Play Tennis course.
If you’re already playing and exploring what’s next, you’ll find clear pathways throughout the site.
